Touchlight launches its new customer offering of Discovery grade doggybone DNA (dbDNA)

As part of its expanding range of services to support its customers, Touchlight has announced the launch of a Discovery grade dbDNA™ (enzymatic doggybone DNA) offering to support customer candidate screening.

The availability of the Discovery grade offering will enable customers to receive quick and easy access to 0.5 to 1mg RUO grade dbDNA, which can be ready to use in as little as 4 weeks from receipt of template DNA.

This new service line enables a cost-effective means of facilitating customer access to small scale dbDNA production.

Touchlight’s proprietary doggybone DNA (dbDNA™) overcomes the technical challenges associated with efficiently mass-producing plasmid DNA. The patented dbDNA technology produces a minimal, linear, double stranded, covalently closed DNA vector through an enzymatic manufacturing process, which eliminates bacterial sequences.

It is approved in both Europe and the US as a starting material for the production of gene therapies in Phase I and has advantages over plasmid DNA including a strong expression profile and the amplification of complex sequences.
