Touchlight is seeking a Senior Business Analyst, reporting directly into our Chief Financial Officer, to support our contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), which is undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is an exciting, fast-paced environment suited to initiative-taking individuals who can contribute to the establishment of strong financial planning processes to support the business in maximising the potential of recent significant investment and expansion.
Senior Business Analyst will be an indispensable partner to the Touchlight DNA Services (TDS) management team responsible for finance and operations analysis, business planning, tactical and strategic investment analysis and other financial support. Based in our Hampton site (UK), key customers for this position are the CEO TDS, COO TDS, CFO and key departmental leaders within TDS. The role will also interact and liaise with the group finance team as and when required.
Principal responsibilities will include:
Business partner with key stakeholders across the Touchlight DNA Services (TDS) business.
Provide TDS management with financial advice and counsel on all pertinent business matters by supplying ongoing, timely and meaningful financial reports and analysis of its P&L results, capital expenditures and working capital.
Develop costing and manufacturing variance analysis to support understanding of cost and profitability.
Enhance reporting, tracking, and analysis of TDS SG&A spend and headcount; partnering with cross functional team to manage and control spend levels.
Perform financial analyses on business opportunities to assure optimal business results, growth and sound investments.
Prepare and evaluate financial targets and business plans and analyse profit and loss statements and balance sheets to help ensure profitable operations and consistency with sounds business management.
Develop and enhance processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality of insights delivered to key customers
Skills and Experience
Fully qualified (CIMA or ACCA)
Five or more years of experience in an analytical finance role with preference for candidates with experience supporting manufacturing operations within the Life Science industry
Advanced analytical capabilities including Excel and database skills
Strong business analysis, financial planning and reporting skills that generate business insights that add measurable value. Current knowledge of current trends in finance and functional best-practices
Excellent at workload prioritization. Develops and manages processes that are effective and efficient
Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
Proven ability to present financial information clearly and concisely with great insight
