Due to current and expected future growth of Touchlight DNA Services, we are recruiting for a newly created role with a broad remit to support the business in maximising the potential of recent significant investment, sales growth and a burgeoning DNA industry. You will be a critical member of the team driving Touchlight's operational success globally, focussing on all the relevant markets. You will work with some of the biggest healthcare companies in the world to help support the production of dbDNA as a critical starting material for ATMP production and as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient.

Role description:

The Supply Chain & Planning Manager is a key role, based at our Hampton site (UK), with internal and external facing responsibilities. The role would be suitable for someone with extensive Supply Chain experience in a biologics GMP-regulated CDMO environment, with extremely high level of communication, planning and organisation, capacity for data analysis and forecasting/extrapolation, and attention to detail, very dynamic, and able to thrive in a fast paced environment, dealing with multiple stakeholders, and managing evolving priorities.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

While not exhaustive, the following is a sample of the responsibilities for the role:

  • Design, implement and monitor the overall planning & supply chain strategy;
  • Provide strategic direction, and oversight of all aspects of a clinical/commercial supply chain for the CDMO. Manage the supply chain for a portfolio of Customer programs across all phases of development through collaboration with various functions. Establish and build the supply chain function and supply chain management of multiple customer programs working closely with Commercial, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Define, execute, and lead strategic initiatives for supply chain forecasting and management, including cost reduction and risk reduction opportunities, inventory optimization and other activities related to warehousing of materials and materials management improvements (including but not limited to inventory management systems development).
  • Establish and lead end to end supply chain business processes which include Demand Planning and Forecasting, Material Procurement, Expediting, Supply Planning, Master Scheduling, and Inventory Management
  • Recruit, manage and optimise the performance of a Planning & Supply chain team
  • Establish, analyse, and report Supply Chain & Planning KPIs;
  • Negotiate and implement supply agreements with vendors, and continuously mitigate any supply chain risks;
  • Establish processes for continuous supplier evaluations;
  • Work with the technical teams to introduce alternative suppliers or products into the manufacture environment;
  • Strive for continuous process improvements;
  • Assist in business analysis as needed;
  • Liaise directly with suppliers and logistics third-parties to solve any material resourcing issues;
